What a pleasure it was this week meeting Captain John Blanchard, owner of Sharky's Charters - docked just down the road from us!
Captain John offers open ocean and local bay tours, ranging from fishing to habitat observation to coastal history, all from the close-up-and-personal vantage point, aboard one of his modern vessels. Sharky's Charters serves visitors of Coos Bay - North Bend - Charleston area of Oregon's south coast.
When asking The Captain about this habitat observation tours he responded that eco-tourism is one of his specialties, making his tour ultra unique because of his academic background and sea-borne expertise: Captain John Blanchard is a Marine Biologist!
We are so STOKED to send our guests on his tours and are thrilled to hear their returning tales over the adventures had with Captain John and Sharky's Charters!
Call Captain John at 541-260-9110 and arrange your tour, en route to the Itty Bitty Inn!
Each of our rooms enjoy a mid-century theme.
Room #2's 1950s Country-Americana feel is subtle and hip. Room #3 is decorated in 1960s Modern, Room #4 is 1960s Tiki, and Room #5 is Disco 70s!
So, that leaves Room #1. For the longest time, Room #1 was decorated with 1950s flair, but we got bored of that and decided to make it a tiki room - yet different than room #4.
Now - making her debut in full 1960s tiki regalia, we present a new Tiki Room at the Itty Bitty Inn. Special thanks goes to many vintage shoppe owners, such as Fat Cat Antiques in North Bend and Leaf's Tree House and antique mall in Coos Bay. Also, a very warm thanks to Etsy vendor Dragonfly Gypsy Soul for our "new" vintage wall clock and sconces in Room #1. Dragonfly's sweet collection of 50's Atomic and 60's Mod decor rolls deep. The wall clock, scones and wall art wrap up the final details in Room #1's mid-century tiki transition - and there's plenty of warm cheer here!
Besides sea caves and beach adventures and crabbing and fishing, our local outdoorsy fun also includes crazy scenic views of our forests and falls!
When planning your visit to the Itty Bitty Inn, make sure to set time aside to hike Golden and Silver Falls State Natural Area. Follow the Coos River into the rain forest and up to the falls' trail head where you'll find banana slugs and tree frogs happy and chill. Be kind, my brothers and sisters, and perhaps they'll point the way towards the water falls you seek!
Visiting North Bend - Coos Bay, Oregon just for one night? Then take part in an Itty Bitty Inn tradition of biking, antique shopping and cafe hopping, then wind down at night to some in-room Atari action to the beat of your favorite craft beverage.
Each room has its own Itty Bitty growler! 40 taps of Oregon craft beers and ciders can be found just across the street at our local growler station AND they have the best organic, non-alcoholic craft ROOT BEER and hand-scooped Umpqua ice cream you've ever had....Mmmmmmmm, have a happy night!
The Specifically Pacific team is at the inn!

Bethany, our guest from Portland, Oregon meets our two newest, newest other bikes! After checking in for her stay with us, she was eating pizza and relaxing on a bench outside, near her room. She was like - woah, those bikes are sweet! So we were like, yeah - take one for a cruise! Here she is posing with our two new fat tire mountain cruisers that we purchased from Moe's Bike Shop, just up the street, here in North Bend.
